The short version
lagoslife.net is a static guide site. We do not ask for your name, email or any personal information to read it. We don't run accounts or comment systems; we do measure anonymous visits with Google Analytics (cookies involved — details below), and we set no other cookies of our own. Our play page links out to the official Lagos Life game, which operates under its own privacy policy — see "The game is separate" below.
What we collect
Almost nothing, automatically: like virtually every website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (your IP address, user-agent string, requested pages and timestamps) in its server logs for security and operational purposes. On top of that, Google Analytics records anonymous usage statistics — which pages are read, roughly from where and on what kind of device — so we know which guides to improve. We use it to understand the site, not to profile individuals, and we never sell or share this data.
Information you send us: if you email us via the contact page, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any mailing list (there isn't one).
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies Google Analytics needs, plus a forward-looking note on advertising:
- Analytics. Google Analytics sets the standard
_gaand_ga_*cookies to tell unique visitors apart (roughly a year, refreshed when you return). Blocking them — via browser settings or any privacy extension — breaks nothing on this site, and Google offers its own Analytics opt-out tools. - Advertising. We plan to run Google AdSense ads on guide pages. When that happens, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices where required. We will update this policy and follow applicable consent requirements before enabling ads. You can learn how Google uses ad data in Google's own privacy documentation.
- The official game. When you tap Play on our play page, the official game opens in its own tab and sets its own cookies (a login cookie and an optional visit counter) under the game's control, described in the game's privacy policy.
The game is separate from this site
Lagos Life — the game itself — is operated by its developer, Eliy (eliysites.com), and has its own terms and privacy policy governing everything that happens inside the game: accounts, chats, purchases and game data. This site has no access to that data and cannot view, retrieve or delete your game account. For anything game-related — including account deletion requests — use the official channels listed in the game's own policy (its stated contact is messaging @shallyr in-game).
Third-party pages
Our guides link to the official game site, the developer's social media, and news coverage. Those destinations have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. External links are marked or obvious; we embed no third-party content in this guide.
Children
This site is a general-audience guide, but the game it covers is strictly 18+ under the game's own terms. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, of any age — analytics here records only anonymous usage, never personal details.
Your rights and contact
If you have emailed us and want your message deleted, or if you have any question about this policy, write to us via the contact page and we will handle it promptly. Where data-protection law applies to you, you have the usual rights of access, correction and deletion with respect to anything we actually hold (which, as described above, is likely just your email correspondence).
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, advertising or any data collection, we will update this page and change the date above before it takes effect. Material changes will be noted plainly rather than buried.
